A Note to Our Fans
We have decided to make our fans aware of our race plans for the 2010 season. We sold some of our race parts at the end of 2009 and looked at possibly moving into late model racing, but with the economic conditions, we decided not to go this route.
The board members present at a Modified Tour Inc. meeting in October decided to penalize us the last BRP race in 2009 and the first BRP race in 2010. In addition, they issued a lifetime suspension on receiving the guaranteed start from Modified Tour Inc. at Syracuse as a result of their snafu of the guaranteed starting spot at Syracuse in 2009. We appealed the decision but we were advised their decision was final. There is no appeal policy. What happened to two sides of a story? We had no idea what this penalty was about. When we investigated we found that the Modified Tour Inc. made a decision based on information that admittedly they could not identify the source of that information. For whatever reason, this was a political decision based on no known facts.
We have been very concerned with the decline in interest of the big block modifieds and the higher payoffs in the late models and sprint car races. We have written to the various local tracks in an attempt to offer some suggestions along with our views on some issues. Apparently there was not a whole lot of interest in our comments, only two tracks replied.
We have decided to race our Bicknell chassis, Bolland Machine engine #777 big block modified in 2010. We are not going to attempt to compete for any track championships. We plan to travel to various tracks that welcome us as a competitor and aspire to win races.
For our fans that would like to follow us in our racing endeavors, we will post on our website weekly, www.kevinbolland.com, the tracks where we will be racing. We look forward to seeing you there and join us in victory lane.

Because of a recent limitation imposed to us by the BRP Modified Tour, Inc., we will not be racing this weekend at the DIRT Car Roundup "Steel City Stampede" at Lernerville Speedway, October 22-24, 2009. These limitations indicate that the BRP Tour Board of Directors are experiencing disorganization and communication problems. We hope they are able to resolve these issues as they relate to us so that we can resume the fine relationship that we have had in the past with them.
